International shipping for bulky items

I'm looking to bring a rear axle housing for my pickup over to the UK from Australia. The company that sell it don't deal with shipping so I've to arrange collection etc.

Can anyone suggest companies to try for prices? It will be boxed ready to ship.

If its within the maximum size limit see if they will list it on ebay with the GSP option.
That's about the cheapest option I have found for stuff over 10-15kg.

Or get onto something like parcel2go for a quote from a few shippers at once

It's 175x40x40cm and 63kg, I don't think they will list it on ebay unfortunately

I think ebay is max of 120cm and 30kg anyway.

Parcel2go quote for international pallets I think, might not be the cheapest but if its worthwhile you could shop around others afterwards.

I think the weight of it will mean it has to go pallet rather than a big heavy box.

DHL and ups online shipped engine blocks from the us and Canada over to us in devon.

75x60x60 and 44kg cost about £60.
That's collection and delivery door to door.
(Did get a customs processing fee though)

I use freight consolidators for moving big lumps around the globe, if its crated up and ready to go they will deal with all the paperwork from both ends.

The messy bit is that end so best to get onto an Auz freight company localish to where that axle is, I had an Auz firm send over a crated windscreen for my Holden HQ ute and that got here without getting broken, about £100 door to door. UPS and all the others dont really do heavy.

I have had a Dana 60 air freighted to me. Long time ago. I just used to ask people to air freight the parts to
me when I bought stuff; this is private sales, small speed shops and bigger places like summit.

I sold 5 sets of heads with a pile of assocciated bits to a yank. I went into the Bax Global office in crawley and they
sorted it out, cost him around 200 quid. I had asked dhl and a few others and the prices were quite ridicoulous.
It was very cheap.

It was actually free.
But it was shipped to Gatwick and they are gits. FOC means they get to value it, they valued
it at 2 grand and charged me accordingly!

Seven seas shipping. Good people to deal with if you are not in a huge rush to get it back to the U.K. Must be cheap as a couple of Aussies returning back to Aus used them. Spurned on by that I used them to bring back car parts from South Africa( a 40 year old car cut up for repair panels)
