if you watch this its dot and dab with plasterboard just shouldnt be used on a solid wall ( no cavity )

if you put any light switches or plug patress box and dont forget the wiring that needs to be fitted you break the water seal

once you use the foam in horizontal form it seals the damp within the area the verticals are fine so is a good idea

do not cut spray foam it collects water for fun if you do if theres any damp it will be absorbed into the cut foam

is internal insulation good to a degree yes

but remember its only flash heat when heated whilst core heating takes a while to heat up when it becomes heated it starts to reflect heat rather well

if you have large windows in summer those rooms can become a furnace and difficult to cool in a heat wave it can also keep the cold rather well like freezers do

can you fasten heavy stuff to insulated walls no

curtain rails or other light stuff need plasterboard screws

if you need to fasten wardrobes or larder units or base kitchen units you will need 6" screws kitchen wall units cannot be fastened right due to weight and there drop once they are used plasterboard and the foam isnt enough to handle the weight and will fail over time

a framework system needs 5" screws and the wooding needs to be fitted in the right place to be screwed into



i have a crib with the grant system whilst they was going to fit the 90mm we was refused from fitting 50mm insulation on top within the wooded area as the grant would have been refused that would have meant the property on outside walls would have been 5" total insulation

to me this is an improvement and a disgrace of the insulation grant system refusing to install over 2" framed install which in the end would benefit there owners
