I tried on one of the demos, once its fitted (that takes a while) its properly fitted.
Feels a bit like a custom riding hat.
If you are doing long shifts or working upside down yes, yes, yes.
It's not uncomfortable to wear for long periods as you do not have to have any of the straps done up particular tight, it grips onto your head a lot more than it feels like it is gripping.
Once fitted it's not as easy to slip on/off as a regular headset. I also found that here are a lot more places to get hair caught in. (I only get mine cut twice a year!) It also holds the mask very precisely so if, for a particular weld, you want to adjust the lense position slightly it's not really possible.

I think the main advantage would be combined with an airfed in confined spaces. If the hose is pressing against something or your trousers/belt pack are getting pulled down it's not going to allow the hose to push the mask around.
Apparently going to be about £45 but not available for another 6 weeks yet.

If you are doing long shifts and just want something to make the mask feel lighter but still be easy to take off they do a "halo" headpad, fits onto all the "comfort" headsets. About £15.

No, it's a sort of flexible pad, clips to the helmet and sits on top of your head. Just spreads the weight out.
Nothing that special but it works well enough.

Had an email about the Optrel headband.
About time a manufacturer realised a plastic jubilee clip band around your head doesn’t make for comfort.

Mine don't slacken off, they do when you get them but for me dismantling and refitting cured it for some reason, that is on both the Crystals I have, the Panoramaxx and E684 were ok from the start I think.

Both of mine do it despite being stripped numerous times. If you lift the lid it slowly works it's way down while repositioning work, annoying as hell!

Check the parts diagram to make sure all the bits are assembled in the correct order.
Never have a problem with mine and I am quite often jumping out of trailers/lorries/steps with it in the up position then walking across the workshop with it staying up.

Bugs a hell oot t me as well. Many a time I need both hands to hold a job together, as well as Strike an arc. It either falls down or wont nod. Well never went you want it to
