On the way home from a couple of days away, we passed through Crewkerne and decided to stop at The Antiques Bazaar for a look round. It’s well worth a look if you’re into that kind of thing and in the area (https://www.antiquesbazaar.co.uk/)
Anyhow, it’s housed in a former mill and had some interesting roof beams in the part we were in:
Good old Dorman-Long in Middlesbrough, along with a ‘British Steel’ logo.
It‘s a great feeling to see British products from a bygone era; in fact I’ve seen similar structures all over Africa and South America.
Makes you realise how widespread our manufacturing industry was back in the day.
