I love Tod's channel. Don't watch it much these days no time.
Amazing to think they were creating these just with blacksmithing skills.
Obviously the ancient Greeks were even cleverer but still impressive!
A standard gear doing the work of a worm.

an old but working Hay cart came with the property in France had a cast iron version of this for securing the load....
still worked.....
