I would agree but gravel in the bottom of the hole to let water soak away is getting it done right.

We were given a knock in one and her indoors insisted we use it. Was on hard ground so got the cup in so far then needed a bit of extra for the last few inches. Got a piece of wood on top of spike to protect it from the hammer and got her to hold the wood on top. Well no matter how many times I explained it had to be level and touching all sides she new best how to hold a bit of wood so just hit it. Well the screams, yelps and wardances were unreal you would think I'd broken both hands, anyway that got my attention and was even listened too for a while

Well if you have to ask you're obviously not competent enough tackle the job. Jobs like this should be left to trained professionals who won't be putting your family and friends at risk!!!
