I plan to fit an aluminium profile cill (type 3) as shown in the images below. The rear upstand can be securely screwed into position. Vertical cladding (fitted to battens and counter battens) will terminate just above the cill, so there won't be any weight bearing down directly. The cill will cover house bricks laid frog up. The frogs are currently unfilled.
I've seen these cills used in similar applications. Are the frogs best filled with mortar first at same shallow run off angle as the cill, and then given a thick bead of silicon? Or are packers used? The cills will be installed low level but above DPC, and I don't want to leave large voids for creepy crawlers to enter.
