Its a useful tool, I have a cheap chinese one that plugs into phone, was about 5 quid delivered. Used down spark plug holes, checked compressor tank and lots of other things. Poke it behind tool cab to see what fell down the back 
Picture, well resolution is not great, its adequate.
Optically? If both the sensor and LED lights are behind the same outer lens, all you'll get is reflection. Pop the outer lense off and it will be much better, from unusable, to useful.
Aim, thats another problem. If its just a dangly cable, wont go where you need it. I taped mine to some bendy steel rod, much better.

I've got a Snap On one where the head is only about 5-6mm and it actually has two cameras in it. One on the end and one in the side and you can switch between the two which is really useful and I've not seen that on another unit. You can change the brightness,rotate the picture and save images.
They do take a bit of getting to because you don't always immediately correlate what you are looking at if you twist them everything changes obviously

The picture quality on the snap-on ones appears to be limited by the screen. If you plug in an external screen it's a lot better.
Having said that any picture from an area you can't see into otherwise is probably good enough!

Didn't go for the L-Boxx version with 1.5A battery, as I never use the boxes. This is the model which works from either 6V battery pack or 12V battery though, not the 6V only version.

Aye, I'm still feeling faint.
Tools are about the only thing I ever spend money on these days, & I look on it as they cost nowt to keep & will always be there if/when I need them, once bought, so I'm gradually building the 12V collection up. This will come in handy for at least two projects, to decide whether to start them or not, so it's worth it. Still feeling faint though. Aye, I'm still feeling faint.
That's the thing with these kind of tools the day you use them nothing else would have worked. I've had mine for ages and used it last week to set up a scavenger pipe on a wet clutch. There was no other way to check without factory measurements.

I've got a Fujinon one for looking up bumsthe controller I need to actually use it is about four grand so it's just taking up space for now.
Quite a few people wouldn't require one of those. They should know exactly what's up there, with the amount of time they spend with their head up their ....
