We haven't seen any sabre-toothed tigers in our neighborhood for quite some time now.....years, perhaps.
However, we do get bears, but not the 'cave' variety. See photos below from our neighbor's trail camera.

Could be dehydration...I never sleep much. Still booking collections for the morning and doing customs work. Off to bed soon back at it 8.30. I get a headache if I sleep more than 6 hours.
Dunno. But looking at screens isn't going to help.Just recently I’m having a bit of trouble sleeping, so I’ve been reading the forum at times, through the “wee small hours” and I’m surprised at the number of other people who post late into the night. Is there a group of members who can’t sleep or shift workers who operate a different timetable?
Opposite for me. When I can't sleep having a good feed sends me offOne thing that definitely makes a massive difference is not going to bed on a full stomach. I've been making an effort to have dinner earlier recently and it's helped a lot.

That's very interesting. Why do you think it happens?
My sleep disorder was found to be sleep apnea. Due mainly to excess weight, mainly jowels, CPAP fixed it but it's like kitting up like fighter pilot each night,I have never slept well or had a regular sleep pattern, its not fun.
I think he/she was just chilling out and letting the food settle after cleaning out all of the bird feeders in the neighborhood and then raiding another neighbor's beehive for dessert. One of the bears removed our suet feeder from the stand, and I found it later in the woods by the house, carefully opened and emptied, with no damage to the wire suet cage. I think they're pretty smart. Was he having a ****?
Black bears might be less aggressive than some other bear species, but I still would not want to irritate them. When I go out in the yard at night, I like to scan the area with a flashlight (torch) to avoid any close encounter...not just with a bear, but with skunks or other critters. As a nod to the subject of this thread, I generally don't lose any sleep over the wild animals in the neighborhood, although raccoons can be a real PITA. That said, I suppose that if I had a small pet like a cat or a tiny fluffy dog, it might worry me, as they might resemble lunch to a coyote, fisher, bald eagle, etc. That would make small work a person.
I used to have some timed ligt effects which were red at night and blue in the morning, the idea was red makes you sleep blue wakes you up and they did work for a while but not now, if i get my room pitch black and point a fan at me while listening to a fake swishing heart beat i can get into some deep sleep but not everytimeI think he/she was just chilling out and letting the food settle after cleaning out all of the bird feeders in the neighborhood and then raiding another neighbor's beehive for dessert. Also sleep related, I have heard that viewing bright light (especially blue light) shortly before bedtime can be detrimental to sleep. There should be quite a bit of information about this on the Internet.
jeez mate that must be awfulGetting old is poop.
Up now - 2.30am - another excruciating bout of trigeminal neuralgia in both sides of my face. I know why they call this the "suicide disease".

Why Trigeminal Neuralgia Is Considered The "Suicide Disease" | Arizona Pain
Of all of the pain conditions that chronic pain patients experience, there are arguably none worse than the pain of trigeminal neuralgia. Often called the “suicide disease” because of the intense pain, higher rates of suicidal ideation in patients with severe migraines, and links to higher rates...arizonapain.com
