Hi,
I have bought a crappy welding machine (telwin 130), it has a live tourch. I have to modify it so the current is only turned on when I pull the trigger. Otherwise I will get crazy and blind.
I have bough a relay. It is actually a solid-state relay, not a mechanical one as I intended. Will this work? I will mount it so the chassis of the welding machine is a heat sink for the relay. It will cut the power on the 220v side of the tranformer. I will use a battery to power it. Specification is 40A, voltage 75-480VAC. I got it cheap from ebay China...
It seems very easy... am I doing something terrible wrong?
Thanks!
Haakon
