injector cleaner

hiya iam just putting a old daihatsu 4trak back on the road.when i parked it up a couple of years ago it was running fine now its a bit lumpy.I've been advised to put in some injector cleaner in.dose this stuff work or am i wasting time and money? thanks in advance.sorry i forgot too mention its a diesel

If gas in the UK is the same formulation as in the states.
It starts to get old after just a few months.
Injector cleaner works, I would put a bottle in and half a bottle in the next two tanks of gas.
You might also keep an eye on the fuel filter.

yeah some works ok , get one made by miller it really stinks but its sh*t hot, dont read instructions lol , run tank down to 1/4 then put whole bottle of millers in and give it a run , thats the only one i have ever found to work properly .

He means its a diesel injector, your probably thinking of unleaded petrol that goes off, it smells fishy after about 3 months and engine runs like a bag of **** and wont pull.

Back to the diesel, empty a full bottle of Millers diesel plus in with about 50 litres and give a good run. All the taxi lads do this the week before the mot emissions test

Try and get FORTE diesel treatment-yellow label-its the best available. Put full bottle into approx 1/4 tank of fuel .

Sorry, I was thinking decaying, rotten, unleaded gasoline.
Diesel left too long gets algae .

I just use the standard of the shelf injector cleaner

petrol and diesel does have a shelf life.
I donty know the true specs of uk/us but the ammout of stuff we ship out to the states
most of the standard grade motor sprit/petrol is a lower grade than the same stuff in the uk same as with the diesel.I belive it not that much different.Its the russian stuff thats rough we are just importing some russian AD10
( thats road going Diesel for the car) we have to wear BA kit just to connect the ship the reason is that it has H2s in it which is normally removed in UK fuels

Used Forte before , to get the missus car through the test. It failed badly on emissions , so i poured a dose in the tank , thrashed her round , the car not the missus lol for 10 mins or so , took it back , and it flew through on emissions test

The car passed its test this morning it flew through the emissions. by the way i used millers ive also found a new use for it as a varnish stripper

the smell of it i would think it would strip anything but it WORKS!!!!
