Industrial waste...what have you found today?

How come nobody has suggested using them for welding practice?

I don't think there's anyone on here that does any welding.

Woodwork, gardening, car repair, old tractors, new tractors, steam engines, stationary engines, old cars, new cars, boats, dogs, sheep, motorbikes, landscapes, steaks, breakfasts, BBQ, culinary masterpieces, cakes, cats, rats, hats and moaning old men, certainly.

Welding, I'm not so sure.

My FiL used a Stanley knife for opening silage bales. One blade would last the winter, he just kept giving it a rub. Don’t think he ever got them sharp sharp as he can’t sharpen a pencil!

We have thousands of 3.3mm twist drills in our place for a trial . . . into the scrap afterwards . . . lots of disappointed people to discover they were less then suited for actual drilling - no point doing trials with fully finished items, when the basic shape is all that is needed.

I'm sure I bought some of those.

Turn/change blade every couple of weeks. They will still tear the bale plastic but a sharp blade makes it so much easier. Depends how many he uses I suppose. A few Frozen bales and your blades fubered.
Didn't know they could be sharpened.
