In England & Wales we'd need planning permission as it would be more than the allowed 28 square metre base , do you have any official constraints as to the size ?Sorry to everyone who's replied, this has gone one the back burner unfortunately.
I have had a look about tonight to take my mind off things and these seem OK and relatively local.

I will be putting the footings in and building it over a few weeks probably.
Just a nice big space to store all my crap and work on fixing things with my son and daughter.
Just had a measure and probably 8meters long and 6 meters wide (maybe a bit longer).
I'm having to play with one shed 8x 3.5 m outside dimensions and another smaller one a metre apart 4.5 x 5.5m or so .
Later on there will be a bridge between the two that has opposite doors that open on to each other mid way as well as a 1.2 door in the big shed and the same on the smaller shed both being placed in the front face and at the read a smaller 700 mm door in each in the nearest back corners .
I'm having to do the doors like that so thaat aftre a while I can decide which rear door will be my emergency exit & if I really want interconnected sheds. I don't have a snowball in hells chance of getting planning for one big shed .
That ought to allow me a dirty / turning shed and a clean shed for spraying varnishes , paints etc. as well as weather proof space for my lass to do her bonsai once the windows are in by the big front doors .
Trying to get the agreement out the planners was like finding meteorites by the bucket full . I eventually got the verbal agreement , then put it in writing with a rough drawn plan and was told by a return letter yes that is acceptable . We will inform building control about it .
That was18 months ago , I've got the letters of permission in a fire proof safe place .The mention 30m² for a shed with regs but they don't say you can't put another one next to it it..
Might be a better idea, one for storage and one for working in.

Makes sense if you have the space, if they were adjacent to each other and spaced apart you could roof in between them at a later date.

Yes, I might have a word with the company to see if something could buit in to make it easier to put a roof between the two.
Seems like a lot less hassle than going through planning!.
That will end up being 2 6x5 workshops next to each other.
If I keep one clear then that's not a bad space to work in.
