I have to go to the USA in a few weeks to work for a month or so.....I have some container space for tools etc. and have been asked to pack a spare welding transformer......Its a Miller 275 syncrowave...An a/c..d/c tig welder, with a provision for arc welding as well...It has variable power inputs on a board with busbar links allowing for 215/315/415 input voltage, depending on how it is wired.......My question is please.
.USA 3 phase is 240v ..60hz.....whereas the U.K. runs 50hz......the voltage will be within the operating parameters, but will the difference in frequency be an issue......have tried a couple of my normal welding engineers but they are non-committal on this
