I just used a stanley knife with a new blade you can cut and dig with the point@Dr.Al + A scalpel knife for the below the surface stuff
cobra pliers seem to come out whenever there's a fiddly connector or pipe clip or basically anything awkward. They're just a perfect tool to have.

1.5 mm gas welding rods are my indispensable go to tool for putting a hook on the end to fish stuff out from down the side of the cooker and cupboards and to make hangers for painting etc.
Have a mirror and torch on an extendable pole. Very handy when trying to get to unseen fixingsA simple torch ,,, one that works.

Extendable magnet and torch for when that nut or socket that you’ve been so careful not to drop leaps out if your hand and into the most inaccessible depths of the engine bay.
Why do I only ever seem to drop non-magnetic stainless nuts / washers into awkward places?
I've never had to use them on nuts/bolts.
Good for removing studs though.
