The chains could be anywhere on the load deck, by the time the ferry docked.

I can't imagine the force those chains were under when they let go!!!

It had a fairly soft landing a BMW, Transit (?) and a red-ish pancake...

Thankfully nobody was injured...and no nice vehicles were damaged
