Tbh the most cost effective thing for traveling wet ground is a dumper
Mules and quads and the like just get knicked they are very difficult to keep secure especially on a river bank
4x4 need a lot of modification to get them
right really you want flotation tyres which means re welding rims as off-road tyres like insa turbos make a right mess where as proper flotation tyres should really float
Dumpers often already have the correct tyres would require little modification
Infact they often come up cheap with rotten skips which would be ideal as remove the skip and put a flat deck on
And if a dumper gets stuck nothing wheeled will cross the ground
