Have manged to outside edge (approx 90 degree) weld 2mm ally sheet with the following finish:
(I know, I need more practice on foot pedal control and movement speed to keep the weld width more uniform)
The weld does penetrate through a bit.
Now I've managed to stop melting holes, I am looking for a finish like this:
(The ally below is a couple of years old hence the graying/matting effect)
What can I do to get to this sort of neat ripply weld on an edge?
My ripples are sort of there but nowhere near the same.
I have tried pulsing on and off (this is with it on)
I can get nearer to this on flat plate - but this edge stuff is really awkward.
Any advice warmly received.
