Ok, i need some nuts and set screws; the head size is 1/2" and the threads are UNF and UNC. What is the diamter of the bolt?

Most likely 5/16"

Re pipe threads. I find that the French plumbing sizes are BSP, but with metric designations. Same in Spain and Portugal, but they used the inch names and sold them in metric lengths. So Poclain's flexys would be imperial.
