why? thousands of people shoot targets like this every year...just look at PSG courses with steel targets being thumped by slugs...
as it happens i have found a local company to me that make just what im looking for and after a chat with them they reccomended a hanging fox head target purely for ease of transport but if i wanted a full sized fox they have them in stock too, centre fire rated to .308 and he will supply shackles too for £30 for the head target. all i would need to do is bend a bit of bar up to make a hanger for it.
Yes they do. My club is extremely active and has a number of ranges that cover from basic air rifles, black powder and powerful centre fire. I field shoot large centre fire mainly these days and use the range for zeroing. Range targets that you are looking at are designed to be used with back stops an forward stops for ricochet control.
