immersion thermostat- decent brand?

not been thrilled with screwfix thermostats on my immersion heater , are there any better brands to try ?

What length do you need? I have a load leftover form a job you are welcome too.

Modern ones are all rubbish, the ones that come with a decent Elring immersion are good but I have never been able to buy separately

An industrial quality will last a lot longer than a normal one.

do you use the immersion to heat your water much or is it just a backup?

you could add an external thermostat and relay/contactor to control it

leave the old thermostat installed as a safety, just set it's temperature a bit higher than the new thermostat/relay

The best thermostat to use on an immersion is one that blocks all current - it will save you a fortune in leccy

I don't know what make our immersion is but it trips out every couple of months. We only use it about 30 minutes at a time and I just press the reset with a thin screwdriver but it is a pain at times.
