iMac upgrade

12" PowerBook was a good machine. Pretty hefty though. Between the four of us in my house we have three! Mine lives in the barn most of the time and is covered in oil.

What is that, Malc?! I can just about remember having the old BBCs at school and after that Acorns.

Malc, did it come with a portable power station to run it? do the lights dim when you switch it on? I had an old IBM (can't remember the model) had a massive 20Mb hard disk! Switch it on and close the door, when you came back it heated the whole room up! Dual function machine computer and room heater!

Thats IMMENSE!! in ALL senses of the word!!

is this a bad time to admit that i had a "card punch" machine filling my shed in the 90's???

First computer was a ZX81 a whole 1024 bytes of storage. Second was a Commodore 64 with 65536 bytes of data - learned 6502 assembler on that.
These days don't care for computers much.

the card i have is the first generation airport extreme..

what you need is a standard NON extreme airport card..

however.. a good mate of mine (and fellow apple nut) swears he has one from an imac that he scrapped that he doesn't want.

so keep your fingers crossed.
