slow progress. lots of rusty bolts that required patience and i ran out of that years ago 
pump is just about stripped as far as i intend to , loads of mice living in there but i evicted them i guess i could have just left them and squirted them into the heavens on the first fire up ...... need to make me a frame next to mount the pump and engine onto struggling to find something i can nick some box section off, but something will turn up
and in other news im carrying on with a major tidy up and came across this hiding in the bushes halfway down the field
i think the engine was sized 20 years ago so i have no interest in trying to salvage it so its going to get a LR 300tdi engine,
body is scrap but im sure i can biuld something out of tube to bolt on in its place, if there's any interest in how i intend to do the engine swap i will start another thread ??
anyway its back at the workshop now, and its heavy even with most of it rusted away, nearly crushed my poor old transit

indeed i do, well several in fact it all stems from wanting to be a digger driver when i left school but failing to make the grade, so i bought one of my own sometime later and well you cant just keep it in the garage and wheel it out onto the drive on sundays to wash and polish you need projects lots and lots of projects for them, this is one of last years projects a 12' deep pond outside the barn with an island
which is now full of water
eventually the engine/pump will sit on the island and the "fountain will be in the middle of the water in the foreground
the wife might read this so no no no... i have nothing to declare , just the odd toy like most folk

thats impressive for gravity powered i might have to visit there and the chatsworth fountain, i wish i had a hill but i dont so i will have to rely on a good old diesel engine,
i was just looking at fountain pumps on amazon and see i can buy a half horsepower pump that shoots water 10' into the air so if i have 130 horsepower im sure that dosent equal 260 x10' otherwise i might punch a hole in the ozone layer
so how do i measure the height of the jet when its up and running ? i seem to remember trigonometry form school but thats all i remember the name not how it works lol if i take a measured distance from the base of the fountain say 100' then set up a small tube to look through, aim it at the top of the fountain and measure the angle that the tube is from horizontal i imagine there is a formula to calculate height ???

i know not the worlds best machine but i was given 2 for free and rather than scrap them i painted them army green to hide my embarrassment at owning 2 of the worlds finest vehicles but that one is a log store it starts it drives and it stops so it goes down to the woods and is filled with logs for the fire sort of mobile wood shed thingy
