I done this mod last week but I used 6 leds. What a difference it makes when your inside a dark garage or under a car. Well worth doing in my opinion. Thanks mate

I think my filter would darken once I switched the LEDs on... so I believe not possible on all sorts of helmets..

and wouldn't it be better to use a self adhesive led-stripe?

yeah... I can get them here with 3m adhesive tape, but they are 12v, and as I looked I would need to use a 12v battery from the olympus camera..

these lights on the helmet are a great idea, ive got a nice little led torch with 9 leds that runs
on 3xaa batteries that will last for about 5 hours solid on rechargables.
Now these could easily be put on a helmet and the switch for it too.

this light conversion job is now going on my priority list.

I have just added a cap led torch
The one with 5 lamps and 2 flat watch type batteries in it,
The ove that clips under the peak of a cap..

onto the top of my mask with some Velcro..

They cost 99p inc postage from China.. (I bought 5..)
Will add a pic when on PCs later..
