My neighbour asked me over to have a look at replacing the handle sockets on an old plough they have in front of the property.
Personally I'm inclined to leave it as-is and not replace anything as a) it'll be a nightmare, b) it'll stand out like a sore thumb and c) I quite like the history it shows
The neighbour was hoping to get more information on the manufacturer etc and knowing there's a few of you who know your ploughs I hoped I could pick some brains
Photos below, writing states (as best as I can make out) "W. Mc CORMICK 10", he's been told it's American in origin circa 1870s but who knows
