Identification, Lathe Made in Saxony.

My brother bought this Lathe off ebay a short while ago and all it says on it is Made in Saxony, carnt find any more names on it. Ive searched lathes.co.uk.

Got to admit it is quite nice and all the slides feal good and bed has hardly any wear on it, was a bargin. BUT need help finding out what it is, always a good start to be able to find tooling for it.
Sure someone knows what make or spec it is.

Never seen anything like it. Should ba a flat belt on the crowned rollers. The changewheel cover looks like it was made much later and obiously the strutting holding the motor and countershaft isn't original

Yes use them all the time for trying to find information. The Lathe itself is in realy good condition, was a little supprised when I had a look over and for what he gave for it. But its just trying to find out what it is. I know there are a few lathe guru's on here

Whatever it is, £155 for an early German lathe in even reasonable nick is a complete steal, your brother should pick us all 6 numbers the lucky barsteward
