Ideas on what to do with these...

I have got a large quantity of these..


Plastic, 50mm o/d.
I originally thought they were rebar spacers for piling but having actually looked at them I don't think they will clip onto anything bigger than 5mm or so.

I reckon they might actually be for cables, possibly to clip around hv/hf wires and keet them away from pcbs or other cables?

Anyway, I'm after some (sensible) suggestions on what to do with a few thousand of them...

@Screwdriver is having some fencing wire from me so I can probably fob him off with a few to clip onto that and use as bird scarers but that's the only use I have come up with so far...

They would make great flying saucers, being flipped of a flicky thing spotted into the gap in the rim.

haha, you're not wrong. I'm sure they'll come in handy for something...

Better have a bit of a think about it, got a ton of stuff here that's basically coming in handy for nothing!

Haha i tried to look for the patent too you were clearly more successful! At least insulation holders make sense to have but wire cable holders!? What an earth are they for!

Err. Yeah. I'm still interested to see what happens if I clip a few to some rebar. Not planning on running any bundles of wire along a high voltage circuit!

It does appear to have some ability as a compliant mechanism. If you shove a big enough thing in the hole, the gap should close up.

It's just the container that I bought but I have to take the contents as well.
It's a bit like that program on the tv except I don't get to look in them first.
A chap I know runs a self-storage place on a farm, he rents out shipping containers and gets quite a few non-payers, he serves notice on them but very few ever turn up to collect whatever they have left in there.
I get a few customers asking me about getting one so I buy one from him at a good price but I have to get rid of whatever is in it before passing it onto my customer.

He probably has a good look through first and takes out any good stuff although I did get a full size snooker table once!
