Hi all,
Up to now, all our level 2 students have to do a T fillet in the PB position, Butt joint in the PA position and Lap joint in the PF position (level 1's just about touch a MIG welder and, at best, lay a few runs and possibly a T Fillet, level 3s do overhead multiruns, TIG Butt joints, etc,) and variances on these for 'Silver' or 'Gold' awards (multirun T Fillet, vertical Butt, etc, etc).
We are looking at doing something a bit different as in getting rid of any Silver or Golds and introducing a bit of fabricating. Last time we did this, we got them to do something called a 'Bridge Plate', below:
This is OK, but can anyone offer any similar ideas, just something that will stretch these guys a little as opposed to just doing the basics?
Cheers.
