I like that look but I would have to tray back the whole vechile one day! I may be able to fit something like that behind the rear wheel
I already have a over sized battery in the main battery position no chance of fitting another there I can only just get to the fuel filter and dip stick as it is!
For me it has to be under the tub somewhere plenty of room under there especially as it is lifted on the body by 3"
Fuel filter, dip stick. You don't need to touch them do you ?
ha ha no whatever for lol
just found a bit of left over rsj the battery should fit snugly into the web
Why not weld the rsj to the chassis and sit the battery in that, if it's anything like my Hilux that would work a treat.just been under the pick up I reakon i could hang a second battery from under the tub, I wonder if ratchet straps would do the job
i will give it a go it is more the xmember area i am looking at above the spare wheelWhy not weld the rsj to the chassis and sit the battery in that, if it's anything like my Hilux that would work a treat.
Won't it be susceptible to a lot of muck getting thrown at it there ? If it were me I'd much prefer it to be in front of the rear axle, I've had to replace my rear cross-member and the last 3 foot of chassis due to corrosion.i will give it a go it is more the xmember area i am looking at above the spare wheel

On my Hilux there is a ideal space inside the chassis behind the passenger side of the cab, the top of the chassis is about a foot below the bed at that point, is your L200 not similar ?
I wouldn't think the heat would be problem, if your worried you could always fit a heat shield around the battery, after all it can get a lot hotter under the bonnet and batteries survive that just fine.
