The ones I got were the ones you linked. Steep but then I do have impulse issues...was there anyway, wanted to crack on. Haven't treated myself for a while anyway...
I'll make savings from making a handle from 20mm galv tube!
Everything is getting more expensive. I was in Poundland earlier and, well, they're gonna have to rebrand it. "Tenners" might be more apt.
let me know the cheapest place @8obAnother gadget I have never seen and now want Also makes them a lot less borrowable
Bob
i am going stop in the midle of the street next time i see them and pick em up!Empty 8g N2O cannisters make reasonable handles for small files, you can usually find them littering the gutter. Friendly coffee shop might give you some if you ask nicely, they just go in the bin otherwise.

Not as nice as wood admittedly, and a bit small but free and instant, a lot better than impaling yourself on the tang anyway.
Makes my effort look shockingDidn't get round to the corner protectors today. A coat of Rustin's wood treatment first. Then 2 coats of Bedec barn paint. Etch primed the handle and gave it a coat of blue acrylic. Might counterbore the holes at the back at bit bigger. At 38mm I can't quite get a socket on to really do the locknuts up.

Yes,and if it’s not there, there’s always the gutter racks by the outdoor drill, and the lathe shed.lol.Great!!! Now which one is the 22mm .......... ????
Here's one I've posted before: On most bench grinders (All the ones I've seen), you can unbolt the guards and rotate them upwards 90 (Or 120) degrees, then unbolt the base and put it on backwards so the switch is on top, then you can screw it straight to the wall rather than making a shelf/stand/giving up bench space.

I'm not sure if I'd be happy using a grinder where it's running the wrong way ??

Thought this was best in this thread:
Tubs to go in a festool sustainer, made from corrugated plastic "floor protector" and duct tape.
The plastic was £5 an 8x4 sheet from selco (it's cheaper in black, but I wanted white to make a lightbox, amongst other things), and the duck tape was 3.89 from Toolstation.
It also took less time than 3D printing them.
Tbf: they're not *horrendously* expensive to buy (about £15 a set+vat+p&p) compared to labour cost, but I'd need three sets, and I have a boring afternoon stuck in house, and this is better than watching TV.
I've also made a couple of replacement drawers for the multidrawer electronic component storage chests the same way.
(It doesn't actually need the duct tape for these: it holds together with super glue for lightweight stuff)
As Bob says the wheels still turn the right way, sparks go down as they should.I'm not sure if I'd be happy using a grinder where it's running the wrong way ??
