Just used an annular cutter on a mag drill. Got three cutters extra as thought one would never do all those holes. Boy was I wrong, all holes done with one cutter and coolant of course :thumbup:

Don't have a pic of it in it's final configuration and now there is too much crap on it, but it still does the same job :thumbup:

That photo was taken april 2014. The top plate was aquired, together with much other steel, a few years previously when a friend retired and closed his fabrication business. It was based in a somewhat damp building, so the plate was well rusty. It was cleaned up with a wire wheel on an angle grinder as best I could. The table lives outside, but under cover, so was going to get rusty again pretty quickly. It seemed sensible to give it some protection. There's not a lot of paint left on the top now and it gets a wipe of boiled linsead oil occasionally now. When welding, I always attach the return lead directly to the work. Never rely on a gravity contact to the table, unlike many people, so a painted or other protected surface presents no problems. Well you did ask!!
