I was thinking cow cut in half, may have done a shark too ? Possibly what you're referring to.
Theirs an art center across the yard from the workshop…a visiting young “artist” has spent a week making this…and been paid to do it what ever “it” is 
I did ask what it was supposed to be and I was rather bluntly told it wasn’t “supposed to be anything”
And sorry in havnt a clue why it’s sideways?!

Rather than discussing the attempts at art and conning gullible folk perhaps we could instigate the "Welder Award " to the most ' Artistic' photo and explanation of some of our efforts . Who knows someone might just strike lucky.

I think that is actually the point of this particular piece of art, you have summed up perfectly what he is trying to say.
Despite what some people say this is definitely art, whether it’s any good or not is a different matter.

A couple of people were intensely scrutinising a Mop & Bucket against a wall at an empty space at an Art Gallery. While pondering the meaning of what the artist was trying to convey, a man then walked up, said excuse me and crossed over the rope barrier; grabbed the mop and bucket and headed off to the janitors closet.

...and how memorable are those bricks? In that same year, what was the greatest film, the best selling book, what painting or any other art piece? Google knows but I sincerely doubt anything else would have stuck in a human mind.

I think it may….just may! Have something to do with the pit head?(the building behind it!) either way my 2 workshop chickens love pecking it and I said let me know when you want it moved i will put it on the bonfire with the forklift
Ah! Pit Head, how about " Pit of Thrones"-- maybe.
It's not a bad effort whatever it is, someone got creative with their time.

I saw this one a while back - 'Venus of the Rags'. I asked the gallery how it is moved from place to place, sort of assuming they would tell me it was all somehow solidified and adhered together as one solid lump, and people wearing white gloves and clean boiler suits carefully place it into a humidity controlled crate. They said the clothes come in bin bags and they sort of chuck them in a pile until it looks roughly right - so it's different every time it's exhibited. This bothered my OCD side a bit, but I suppose the art is in the concept / statement. I didn't dislike it. I'm as happy to look at something that makes you think as something that looks like it took some talent to achieve.

He's a well established, quite witty and satirical artist. I suspect he'll both be taking the Mickey and enjoying the proceeds.
While the actual art here could have been done by anyone, not just anyone gets to. Such platforms are earned and while his back catalogue won't be like by everyone, it's undeniably there.
This artwork has clearly "worked" if X3 pages of comment on a pretty much unrelated and obscure welding forum are anything to go by!

Now funny enough i do get this piece for what it is...so maybe "art" is subjective and each one has a meaning for somebody but not others.
