Hello welders.
I have setup a business and part of that requires me to fabricate balustrade posts and handrail with the welding of baseplates and some handrail joins.
I have been watching lots of videos and reading up and I believe I want to use TIG welding with the tungsten tip and wire with gas.
When I see people on youtube tig welding they have a metal rod or wire, but I cant see that wire for sale anywhere, only the coated ones used for stick welding.
(1) If i am TIG welding and using wire on 316 stainless, do I have to use 316 stainless wire to keep the same level of corrosion resistance?
(2) I know this isnt the forum the ask about machines, but I have some money and I am ready to buy something, what do you suggest I need to do the fine stuff on 42.2mm round tube witha 2mm wall.
Cheers
Mark
