The Ranalah were for making aircraft cowling's the advantage was you could role a full circle then only one weld that is the story An old metal man told me

I've got the JLB small home-assembly "RAPTOR" units that is lasercut out of flat plate.

Needs a bit of tightening of the many bolts to fix the lower wheel shaft correctly to ensure it stays in line with the top wheel. The wheel finish is alright and the last shot shows a softly wheeled piece of Alclad that hasn't been polished after wheeling, just wiped off. Whole unit hangs from the rafters in the garage, unlike most units!

Sometime it's not nessersary to spent too much. I made a smallish english wheel some time ago from a punchure vulcanising machine picked up at a Beaulieu auto jumble ( cost £3) and threw it all away except the casting. I used forklift pallet wheels machined in a lathe to get the correct shape, these were cast steel, not hardened and didn't wear at all.
I made some good pieces with it and proved quite handy, eventually it found its place under the bench and not used and wen't to ebay. Wish I still had it.

how much? ,I have a vickery wheel but would love to get my hands on a ranalah but they make too much money
