Another vote for the small Bisley multi draw units, more than adequate for drills and lathe tools. Not had much luck with filing cabinets over the years, they tend to have more space in them than is good for the runners.

It is surprising how much weight there is once you have all the stuff in. Narrower drawers would have much less to cope with.

After a little bit negotiation, these got delivered today.
One 11 drawer Polstore, and one 9 drawer Lista, which should provide plenty storage for tooling.

I may however need to move a lathe to get them into where I'd like them, unless I can lighten them enough to be lifted over.

There’s nothing quite like a lista. **** all over Bott.

I would temper that by adding the newer Bott are not the same quality as the earlier stuff. THe Bott cabinet John has acquired is of the earlier type (I have a couple) and they are very well made. The newer type have some plastic parts which is never good.

I'd like them, unless I can lighten them enough to be lifted over.

Just slide all the drawers out.

Bisley cabinets. These are nice and very functional, I have a few and they all have their uses. They are not a patch on genuine made_for_purpose tool cabinets though. it looks like John has come to the same conclusion I did and replaced a flock of Bisleys for a pair of purpose made. It is amazing how much stuff they actually hold.
