As long as they are happy .sorry to state the obvious but would it not have been a lot easier to put a bit of timber up there before you boarded and skimmed it .

overpriced and a fanny on. for a standard pendant fisher plasterboard plugs are the best. for heavy fittings the rawlplug spring fasterners are the best Easyfix Spring Toggles 5 x 50mm 20 Pack | Spring Toggle | Screwfix.com. ohh and make sure the plasterboard is perfectly dry before fixing and drill the holes dont just poke them with a screwdriver

they are good on solid plasterboards for fixings but not much use on putting light fittings up as the fixing centers and the hole in the middle for the cables are 2 close together and the board crumbles away then your stuffedthese are by far the best.
