That was good going cobbler. Quite a challenging job, I had the use of a Chevette.

It was, it was about 25 years ago, my son wanted a car to learn to drive in & the shovitt was my wife's car which had failed test. I was going to arc them on as it was all I had & cover the holes with filler & a colleague said use my mig. Never used one before & learnt on the job. Did one side & thought this is great, so bought one myself & never looked back. I had gas welded & arc welded before & I think it gave you an insight in what you are trying to achieve.

So back to the original post get on with it & post the pictures we will all be interested to see how it goes

Wow!!!!! Thanks! I am in aw of the response from my question.
Well I tried welding on scrap. It wasn't too good but, expectations weren't set too high....... Lol My neighbor is allowing me to use his Miller mig ( model I didn't note )for my restoration project. I'll post pictures soon. Thank you to all you wonderful people
