I shop every week and apart from one pack of sprouts and one pack of raspberries, it has all been great quality over the last ten years or so.

My irritation is their stock control, it's not unusual to find shelves stripped bare of items I buy.

I used the step drills yesterday but only in ali plate, worked fine but hardly challenging, I also picked up a pack of the dowel/plug bits, no idea why but one came in handy for a bodge to extract a snapped tap, supposed to be for wood but whipped through the ali until I could get some grips on the end and turn it out

My first-ever trip to a Lidl was ten years ago. A friend asked me to go in early on Thursday morning to get him an SDS drill - but they had sold out. Wandering around, I was impressed by the variety of German food products they had for sale. I had lived in Germany for 6 years. I bought bratwurst, potato salad, "meat salad" ( fleischsalat ), herrings in sour cream, pumpernickel brown bread. Checked out, loaded the car, then drove away for about 500 yards on the wrong side of the road...

I noticed earlier that they now have a version of Terry choc orange segments, in a bag. Yum!
