I've used a stick welder for several decades and never had the issue that I'm having with MIG. I can see the weld pool well enough but when joining box section to make door frames, especially welding the 45 degree cut corners up I struggle to see the two edges of the metal and lose my sense of direction! I've one of these automatic masks and I can adjust the knob from too dark to getting dazzled but I can't really find any sort of sweet spot.
Can anyone give me some tips please otherwise I end up laying a lovely bead of weld in the wrong spot.
Thanks Julian
