I always had some one on the plug socket to stop the Bastard thing .
You had to re press the trigger to stop it

I have the 5/8" chucked version, it has bitten me a couple of times when I was drilling a lorry chassis, only ever use it for my big cylinder hone now, mag drills are the only way to go.

I've broken a wrist before & it wasn't nice. That was 5 years ago and that wrist still gives me bother so I'll try my best not to break another one!

I was going to fit a 13mm chuck to it using adapters with the MT2 chuck from the lathe. I was looking for something else today when I found a brand new chuck already mounted on a MT3 arbour that I had forgot about.

Unfortunately I didn't find what I was originally looking for - a MT drift I had made from an old leaf spring. I have seen it recently but I'm darned if I can find it now. They're only a simple wedge but they make separating MT adapters so much easier! I did find some stainless steel 30x5 & 40x10 flat stock which I'll turn into a set of drifts. It wont be as hard as a leaf spring but it will be better than mild steel and will look cool.

We used to use one of those things to drill 3/4" diameter holes in machine frames at work in the 1960's . We had a sold bar slid in the handle about 2 foot long, with an instruction if you let got then you were sacked. Of course in those days men were men and woman were glad of that fact. Those Wolf drills were proper tools, stays with you rest of your life to adjust pressure when drill is breaking through to reduce grab effect.
