Lets just say...cheap chain tools Ive tried have shall we say been close to single use. But last one I did I used and angle grinder, and a ball pein hammer, it was on an old farm machine chain though!
The funny thing is is that I now own that very engine.....! Bought off eBay..it's a 2015 and it has a neutral position switch where I have a gear position sensor anyone need a 2015 low mileage 650??
As an aside, I was able to tap the hole (M6) to the bottom so there is 11mm of fully engaged thread, which is all it had originally except there was plenty of space at the end of the hole, with loctite and it's oil tight so far.
Chain riveted on properly now as well.
I realise how very lucky I was...
