Sportidge?... he rated the bigger SUV Kia (sorry can't recall the model name) as a solid vehicle.
Told this afternoon that Mitsubishi are no longer exporting into Europe, and this includes the UK Dealerships closing.Wife needs a newish 7 seater,I’ve gone right off European cars of recent vintage, and am favouring Korean stuff more and more, anyone here have any experience of the Santa Fe?
I’d be interested to hear experiences. Thanks.
thats the little one. the big one is the sorento. i had one with 200k miles on it. other than a cam chain kit and a starter motor in my ownership it was faultless.Sportidge?![]()
Often cheap car equals practically no maintenance done by the original owner if they bought them from a skin flint, can’t imagine there’s anything wrong with Hyundai turbos, but Turbo’s need oil changes. Two mates of mine had them cue three new turbos inside a year
I've got a shed of a Sorrento as my tip run/parts hauler. It's done 140,000 miles and is battered on all four corners but it just works when asked to. It was well maintained by the previous owner though.thats the little one. the big one is the sorento. i had one with 200k miles on it. other than a cam chain kit and a starter motor in my ownership it was faultless.
id go kia or hyundai over any european these days. on par with jap stuff imho but with a better warranty.
Bought my first Tucson new back in 2015...second one in 2019. Between the two they've done over 100k miles (both are still in the family). Had 1 alternator bearing replaced in that time (on the 2015 one). The 2019 is a top spec Premium SE...has a huge amount of kit...but even the lower spec one is well equipped. Mine is the 177bhp petrol which really goes quite well for a big car....the 2.0 diesel in the 2015 model was also excellent (avoid the weedy engines!)I’d be interested to hear experiences. Thanks.
I think the South Korean stuff is like the Japanese were producing in the 1990s and early 2000s...excellent quality engineering at a reasonable price...less reasonable these days though (top of the range Kia Sportage is now pushing £40k!!!)Mate recently bought a new SsangYong Korando after looking at all the comparable vehicles reckons it's as good, if not better.
