Ha! I saw that the bottom glass bowl was empty & just left it alone, to be honest!
Do you mean they use a pair of wires for each connection, instead of just one?
Is that supposed to be some kind of fail-safe arrangement - in that if one of the cables is cut you could carry on cutting?
I'm thinking maybe not, as then the remaining conductor would be carrying twice the current and overheat/melt?
Less of a "fail-safe" & more of a "fail-dangerous", I guess that would be?
Costing in a torch lead won't be too cheap - I think I've only seen the price of the torch with cable, though - and it was loads - maybe £350ish, I think!
Does your mate do the Freeman in Jesmond - they're the people who put in my new lungs back in 2003 - And a fine bunch of folk they are, too!
