It was a professional job. It was away for 2 months.Ah I can see pictures now. Thats never going to work as they have tried to fit the socket into the foam. It looks like a ridgid peice of steel, so all the flex is happening in the small glue joint. If that was a professional job I would report them for incompetence.
The ones I linked have adjustable pins to limit the range, which she may not need. I think thats for people recovering from surgery. I assume all of the hinged ones should prevent excessive hyper extension.
If Popcorn has tried them, thats worth a lot as he will know whats comfortable long term.
Only experience I had was with a cracked fibula (which gave me foot droop after several weeks walking and riding bike on it), NHS gave me a horrible walking boot when it should have been a cast, and I had to hobble back the next day. My opinion of the NHS is quite low.

To be honest I am not sure what else they could have done about fitting it into foam.
