Hydraulic fittings

Where would i start to look for a male to male adaptor with one end being m16 x 1.5 and the other end m10 x 1.5.
Ive asked in various places and on various sites on the internet and as of yet, no luck.
Its obviously a strange fitting.
It is for an oil line to a turbo fyi.

Pop into a local agri repair place.

They should be able to match up the bits you need.
(I know ours would)

ALready tried a few in the local area and they couldnt help me, but i will try somewhere further a field.

If anyone has used a website for parts similar to this could they put up a link?

Not 100% here but could you find the male connector of each size ie:One m16 x 1.5 and another one m10 x 1.5 then weld them up together?

Thats a back up plan if i cant get an adaptor, but a m10x1.5 seems to be quite a rare fitting, most are m10x1.
Il find it eventually...

If there Hydraulic fittings then are they not M etc but BSP? I was getting all confused with a similar thing before I started Hydroforming. Could explain why you carnt find the right size.

They are definitely M fittings, i shouldnt call them hydraulic fittings really but they kind of are.....just not your normal hydraulic fitting.

Not all hydraulic fittings are BSP. Most european/jap manufacturers use metric hydraulic fittings. Often work on car transporters and the british built wagons use bsp and the french use metric fittings.

That would explain why im finding i have metric hydraulic/ oil fittings. Tubro from a scooby, oil pipe from a 306!

There also JIC fittings as well

I get hose parts from Think and Flexible hose supplies, if I need anything odd I make them, it's quicker than waiting for them.

Also have stapelock fittings as well. Have no threads at all and simply held together by a staple! Used extensively on underground machinery. Got a burst pipe? Unclip the staple with a screwdriver fit new pipe and refit the staple. No spanners needed. The amazing thing was even though they were under extreme pressure hardly ever leaked!

If you really get stuck, consider popping into your local engineering shop, they should be able to make up an adapter, if you cant make one yourself, sometimes with hydraulic fittings you really have to think outside of the box to get the result.
At least your only dealing with metric, some tractors/machines I have worked on have had a mix of BSP, JIC and Metric mished and mashed all over the place and these are a nightmare to work on.

Metal spanner ive found plenty of site who cater for just waht you talk about, adaptors for jic to metric jic to bsp etc but none for the adaptor i need.

Ive found an adaptor for m10x1.5 with a jic/ bsp etc end on it. I think il buy that cut the bit i dont need off and weld it to the existing adaptor.

I design a lot of hydraulic items and do make a lot metric, for converters I use parkers fittings or cromwells

Why not just find fittings that match & then join then with a length of pipe between them instead of trying to find an adapter or fitting that will bolt together?
