I used to shot black powder weapons in the past, nice to shot, nasty to clean.
You lost the thermic value with contamination.

i shot a few muzzle loaders at a game fair a few years ago but i wasnt cleaning them so i ddint care lol

i thought contamination might have played a part in it

don't look too safe these newer megane's, guy crashed into a tree this morning part of the road is 40 mph not sure if he was there or 30 zone, this is the result burst into flames and killed him

that looks older than mine based on the rear lights and the door aperture suggests a scenic...lad in work had a scenic that caught fire while he was driving, he reckoned it was that quick that if he had actually been wearing his seatbelt he wouldnt have got out.

Bad news he died, thats one thing people dont realise even a small silver birch will write a car off at 30mph.

Being an old fart for a minute, in many ways I feel cars today aren't as safe as cars of years gone by. Let me explain, today's cars are full of safety gadgets etc and are a safe place to be so much so that people relax too much and don't pay attention and don't appreciate just how dangerous moving around in a 2 ton box at 30+mph actually is.

Where as cars of the 60's and 70's you knew you what speed you were doing based on wind noise and how rattly the car was, you could tell what you was doing wasn't that safe and therefore paid more attention, especially as the speed increased.

Granted we have a lot more traffic on our roads and there is a million other factors, but perhaps if people didn't feel quite to safe in their cars they would pay more attention and thus drive safer. I'm acutely aware of just how vulnerable I am when I ride my motorbikes therefore I really pay attention thus becoming safer.

Black powder revolvers made for interesting shooting, fail to use enough grease and its a spectacular event.

I always thought one would make a good self defence tool, one bang and just walk away under the smoke screen whether you hit the target or not :-)
