Having got some great info from this brilliant forum and help from some of the members I'm much better informed but no closer deciding which welder I should get. Initially I need to do MIG thin steel car repairs, but I like the idea of learning TIG at some point. I was leaning towards the GYS Multi Pearl 210 4XL - seem to do what I need, good reviews and the 4XL has 4 roller drive. Then I came across the WeldStar Infinium 200 which also does Pulse MIG and TIG, has a 5 year guarantee but only 2 roller drive and is £400 more. I looked at the Parweld also but comments suggest the Synergic setting are off the mark so not really helpful for a casual user. Or do I just save a load of money and just get a Paton that I see @Tom Orrow L highly rates that seems to be Pulse but not Synergic and no AC TIG which I believe rules out Aluminium welding? Any thoughts/guidance that might help me reach a decision welcome - and of course any other machines that I've overlooked but should consider.
