I sold a mint condition 1906 Purdey at auction last summer for £2,300.Just to be clear, @Seadog is on the money, or his RFD is, the gun is worth tuppence and a balloon and your colleague would be well advised to scrap it and buy a much more modern and likely better made shotgun, prices have never been so low, the looming lead ban has decimated values, I know of a true English gun which was bought for £15,000 just four years ago sold recently for £4,500![]()
