These were shot. It’s a grinder and they were metal shielded. Sure I could of cleaned them up but for the sake of £20, better to replace with better bearings than it had originally.I have injected fresh grease into a fair few noisy sealed bearings with a hypodermic as a temporary measure and had years out of them.

I got one end all buttoned up with the new bearing today. As soon as the other bearing arrives I’ll put it together and post a video.
I think that’s what I got low friction rubber both sides. See if the grinder does another 20 years +Metal shielded have been less successful as the muck gets in but the double sealed 2RS can be a goer if access is easy.

And from what I could understand when I've asked those 2rs are more indicated to be used on non ferrous metals ,so on alluminium and plastic housings eccI think that’s what I got low friction rubber both sides. See if the grinder does another 20 years +
