How to take this motor apart

Got one end of the casing off, bearing removed with a plasma cut puller, fan removed with a three leg puller. How do I get to the bearing on the other end? I assumed the whole shaft would come out once I got the bearing and fan off this end.

It’s an old Sealey grinder.

Has an adjustable arm that takes a small 3” belt and used to have a stone on the other side until HSE said no apprentices and stones so dad cut the tail off.

Bearings were shot both sides so need to replace

you can always rely on a hammer to cure your problems ...apart from electrical ones

Of course it’s a different sized bearing on the other end of the motor

I've tried this evening and I can confirm that it's not the proper tool to solve electrical problems

It was a switch , it couldn't fit where I wanted it to be .
Gentle tapped it with a 3kg hammer
It fitted where it had to be but it doesn't work anymore

if it has switch contacts , check them to see if they are burnt, a clean up with wet and dry before re assembly is best.

Why do people use whet& dry contacts are usually very thin cover of silver scrub the with w&d removes it there are fiberglass sticks designed for the job.
That & a spray of switchcleaner
Not expensive CPC do a cheap one there are bigger versions

thats how it was done in the rewind works, by the time a motor is twenty five years plus or older the silver is long gone, and base material pitted , most parts were unobtainable , so a proper clean to remove pits then polish , main cause usually capacitor going home so new cap fitted if needed. We worked on industrial grade machines that usually were sent for overhaul yearly on shut down , as machines in use 24/7 had to be reliable , I agree with what you say totally , but most have gone past that point when they come in for service , in an ideal world they would be serviced more often, mostly its when something breaks down though due to lack of maintainance , industrial is a harsh enviroment physically and financially.

I don't think it would work again I've practically destroyed it

If it ain't broken don't fix it ....
Once broken don't repair it but replace the entire unit instead .
That's how works at least here

I've replaced several bearings for the same reason I think it's a waste throwing away something for just two bearings
